Terms and Conditions in Consumer Trade


1. Definition

These general terms and conditions apply between Behnford's Corporation's web shop and its customers (consumers) in their trade by using the internet.

2. Rights of Use

Behnford's Corporation's web shop is aimed for the use of private consumers. Upon ordering, the customer must admit their name, address, email address, phone number and of course the receiving address to which the Products are to be sent. The receiving address can be other than the billing address of the customer. In such case, the receiving address must be altered during the confirmation of the order. The customer should accept the order only when the receiving and billing addresses are correct.

3. Registration

In order to purchase Products using Behnford's Corporation's web shop, the customer does not have to register as the web shop user. Registration is, however, recommended to able the customer to follow the status of the order, as well as continue an unfinished order.

4. Ordering

The Products can be ordered via the internet in www.behnfords.fi. An order made via the internet becomes a valid binding agreement only as Behnford's Corporation has confirmed the order by email. Any correspondence between the parties will in first hand happen by email. Therefore the customer agrees to monitor the email account they have given at the time of ordering.

5. Pricing

The price of the product is that showing on the page at the time of ordering. The price is in Euros (EUR).
As well as the price of the product, the customer agrees to pay the packing and delivery charges of the product. (See paragraph 8. Delivery)

6. Terms and Methods of Payment

Products and their postage are paid in conjunction with the order. The following methods of payment are available for the users of the webstore: Nordea, Osuuspankki, Sampo, Tapiola, Aktia, Nooa, Paikallisosuuspankit, Säästöpankit, Handelsbanken, S-Pankki, Ålandsbanken and credit cards. Online payments are made by using the website of Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy. Payments can be made also beforehand by bank credit transfer.


Payments by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard


If you would like to pay by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, Behnford's Oy will act solely as the marketer of the respective products and services and will provide the products to the buyer. All complaints and claims for compensation will be handled by Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy.

With regard to payments made by Visa, Visa Electron or MasterCard, Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy acts as the merchant of the product and the trade transaction takes place between the customer and Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy. The seller is liable to meet all the responsibilities related to the trade. Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy is also the recipient of the payment.

Online banks

Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy (2122839-7) provides the financial and payment service for online payment in co-operation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Suomen Verkkomaksut Oy buys the payment and disburses it to the seller. For the customer the service functions like a conventional online payment.

7. Confirmation

A binding agreement between the parties is valid only after Behnford's Corporation has confirmed the order by email.

8. Delivery

The order will be sent out within two working days of making the order (made the payment). Products are delivered by The Finnish Post keltainen kuljetus 16 delivery service. The Finnish Post requires approximately 1-2 working days for deliveries within Finland. For more information visit the Posti web site. The delivery charges of the order are in accordance with the costs of delivery and packaging.

Should the delivery time for any unseen reason considerably exceed the above, the customer will be immediately informed of this by email. The customer is then entitled to cancel the order of the delayed Product in accordance with the terms explained in paragraph 10. If the customer by this time has already processed the payment of the delayed product, Behnford's Corporation commits to refund the paid price without delay.

8b. Collection

When required, the customer may also choose to collect the order from the Behnford's store in Helsinki. In this case the customer will be informed by email of when the order is ready for collection (within two days of making the order). The order is collectable from the Behnford's Store during the following week of the notification.

9. Gift Orders

The delivery address of the order may be different of the billing address (gift order). The delivery address must be altered during the ordering to the address required. The customer should accept the order only as the delivery and billing addresses are those required. There can only be one delivery address per one order.

10. Cancellations and Refunds

The customer is entitled to cancel their order in accordance to the consumer law within fourteen (14) days of receiving the Product. If the customer has already received the Product, they should cancel the deal within a reasonable timeframe of receiving the Product by returning it to the vendor. After this, the vendor will refund the sum that was paid for the trade.
Behnford's Corporation should be informed of the cancellation by email to webshop@behnfords.fi.
The cancellation should include the following information:
a) name of Customer
b) invoice or order number
c) an account number that can be used to refund the payment
d) the names of the Products being returned
Behnford's Corporation wishes that the Customer would inform them of the reason/s for cancelling the deal in the cancellation. Returning the Product already counts as cancellation. The Product is to be returned to:

To cancel and return a Product requires that the Product is returned without delay, not substantially changed or reduced.

11. Claims and Complaints

All claims regarding orders should be presented within fourteen (14) days of receiving the Product. The claim should be made either by email to webshop@behnfords.fi, or alternatively sent to:

A faulty Product is to be returned in accordance to terms stated in paragraph 10.
If the product is faulty, Behnford's Corporation is always primarily liable to replace the faulty product with an equivalent, flawless Product. The customer is, however, entitled to refute the rectification in accordance to the consumer law paragraph 5, 18§, should the rectification cause substantial harm, reduction of value of the product or a danger of the costs being left uncompensated, or for another specific reason for the refusal. The Customer has no right for a claim if a fault has occurred to the product as a result of being delivered to a delivery address as advised by the customer, that's conditions do not fill the storing recommendations for the Product (i.e. a delivery to a mailbox during the summer months). The Customer is therefore liable to transfer the Product to a suitable storage as soon as possible after the delivery.

12. Behnford's Corporations Liability

Behnford's Corporation is not liable for any indirect damage that may have occurred or is a result of the Product not being collected/accepted or a result of the Product not being delivered in accordance to the terms and conditions. Should the Product, however, be faulty, Behnford's Corporation is liable for indirect damage as lined on the Consumer Law 5th Paragraph 20§. Behnford's Corporation accepts no liability of damages resulting from reasons out of Behnford's Corporations control, like war, natural disaster, import or export restrictions or ban, unseen delays in shipments, decision of authorities, disruption in public transportation or energy distribution, employment strike or other equivalent ‘force majeure'.
Products in images on Behnford´s Webshop may differ from actual product in questin.

13. Alteration of the Terms & Conditions

Behnford's Corporation holds the rights to alter these terms and conditions without notification. The Customer is therefore liable for reading the valid Terms and Conditions at the time. Altered Terms and Conditions only apply to orders made after the alterations.

14. The Applying Law

The applying law in the Terms and Conditions is the Law of Finland.
